Color!
When you live in the desert with it's muted tones and sublime beauty, the shock of spring colors bursting from flowers brings feelings of joy and amazement. Walking back from church this morning, I saw the roses by the community pool in full bloom. I had to stop and take in their hues, their size and their ability to thrive in our climate.
Roses actually do well here, they just bloom at different times than in other parts of the country.
I'm not sure what this plant is, but I think it's lovely.
