Hello, Wednesday!
I feel 90% better than I did yesterday. I slept from 7:30 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. and I'm feeling almost human again.
My interview was awful. I felt like I was walking through sludge and wasn't even making sense to myself. That's what 10 hours of sleep in 36 hours, jet lag and a head cold will do to a person's mental skills. It's out of my hands now and will find out if I get in on June 6. If nothing else, I can always try again next year.
After that was over, I went to Trader Joe's for a gallon of milk and went home. I was a zombie. A good, non-brain eating zombie. Although it felt like an evil brain eating zombie was responsible for my state. I had a little yogurt for dinner and struggled to get ready to bed before collapsing. Ugh.
As for my Canadian peeps request to send some heat your way, I'm doing my best. We're supposed to have a 35 degree drop in temps for the weekend. That heat has to go somewhere so I'm sure it will make it to you!

Sorry about the interview. Were they aware of how/where you'd spent the previous 36 hours at least? Maybe they'll cut you some slack.
Yeah, I think they knew I had just flown in that day. Hopefully my written app and my references (plus a few boosters within the alumni ranks) will put me over the top. We'll see.
The only brains around were Elvis brains, and those wouldn't have gotten me very far so I left him alone.
