Impressionable Youth

Hope, I remember this commercial, but I am Pure-D stubborn, so I just pretty much ignored it.
I remember it vividly! I was a super picky eater as a kid, so basically I had to drown my food to eat a good portion of what my mom gave me. I'm better now, but I still have a fondness for salad dressing :)
I definitely remember the commercial. And, for the most part, I'm not a condiment person, aside from some Tabasco (living in the Midwest, I need something).

Instead of sour cream, try non-fat plain yogurt. Definitely better for you than sour cream, but brings the taste attributes you love about it. You can substitute it out quite readily.

Abuse the person who brought in the guac and sour cream. There's beauty and zest in that, too.

I can't completely cut out the foods I love. Such idiocy. I set aside a day to eat what I want, and that seems to suffice. Well, it doesn't really, but you know what I mean.

I don't recall that commercial. But then I don't know why no one's come up with a recipe for a mayonnaise smoothie, so why would I?

I don't remember it either, but I know what you mean about thinking you've lost your mind. I remember a tv show featuring bees called Brother Buzz and no one else has ever heard of it.... I don't think I made it up....
I remember it. I don't think I followed the advice, though. I don't drown my food but I can eat just about anything if it's got italian dressing on it. Mmmm.. guacamole, that stuffs the bomb.
Don't give up condiments- I have been reading the most amazing liberating book about healthy fats, and how we don't get enough healthy fat, so we get fatter. It is the total opposite of everything you have ever heard- it is astonishing. In this book it gives the scientific evidence that you can eat all the sour cream and guacamole you want. No lie- I have been doing this and so far I've lost 10 pounds eating all the "good" fats I want. The book is called Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. Read it and weep. (tears of joy:)

I remember "don't drown your food" My favorite was Time for Timer- remember him? he told us to make sunshine on a stick!
