It makes me want to travel there, too. I hope I can make it to southeast Asia sometime in the foreseeable future.
Amy---wow, those are excellent pics. some of them I felt like I was right there. I have a bunch of those Hoi An lanterns too...ones I couldn't sell at my store. They are gorgeous.

What inspired you to travel to Asia?
The floating villages were WOW!!! And the city shots...and well....all of them...excellent!
I used Friendly Planet, and they were great. The best tour for the best price, hands down.
My friend Melany was the one who wanted to go to Vietnam and asked me to join her, as I'm the friend who usually goes on crazy trips. I said, "Sure, I've never been there before. Why not?"
That kind of sums up my general philosophy. I was at a wine bar with over 100 selections. I saw a Serbian wine and said, "I've never had Serbian wine before, I'll try that." Well, there's a reason why we don't hear much about Serbian wines. Hopefully they'll get their act together - I'm thinking about going there for my 2008 trip.
